America should have been the one firing up the Superconductor and performing the scientific experiments and discoveries in Waxahachie, TX, where the Superconducting Super Collider (SSC) was under construction on schedule and under budget.
It was the Clinton government that decreased the budget to a point where the SSC project was no longer viable..... made them look better than just eliminating the project.
